cutting yourself doesnt make you emo. You dont have to wear tightassjeans and dark makeup/nail polish to be so what emo. Emo, like stated above, is a state of mind where you get overly emotional about things. Personally, i suffer from depression and have done selfharm,yes the pain does take your mind off being depressed abit, but its only temperorary. At first it was only one cut, over a week, my right arm was covered with cuts and scabs,thats when my parents found out and brought me to a therapist. its really nothing cool or to be proud of, now i've gotten better and learnt other ways to relieve myself from depression; Depression takes over your mind, i dont see why a normal person would ever want it, if i had the chance, i wish i was borned without it.
